Did you hear that making ex-pat pensioners sign certificates to certify they were still alive would save DWP £28 million a year? Well, DWP cannot justify that amount, or tell me how much the system costs the taxpayer, because they do not keep any statistics! Worse that that, the statistics they do keep suggest that their estimate is over-rated around 10-20 times. Even worse still is the in-built suggestion that Brits who retire overseas are ten times more dishonest that those who remain in the UK!
